The planting of the “Tree of Hope” took place in Ard Mor on Saturday 5th of April , the Tree of hope strives to provide a place and method of comfort where survivors can memorialise their departed loved once lost to suicide and for people living with mental health issues, bringing hope to all that need it. The “Tree of Hope” planting is also to highlight these issues within our community.
This tree of hope was planted by the Ard Mor Mens Shed Group, the tree was donated by Respond Housing Association and officially launched by Mayor Cllr Dermot Looney.
Five trees have been planted so far, in Dodder Park and St Aengus’s, Ard Mor Citywest, St Martin’s Parish, Aylesbury and CARP Killarden
