A multi-agency family fun day outdoor event took place at Rineanna view estate. 
Respond residents’ and a number of groups using the community building including groups utilising the Clare youth service attended the event.
Resident volunteers were actively recruited to support the planning and supervision activities required for this day of fun.
A number of young people living in Rineanna View are involved with Clare Youth Service. The young people successfully used their training in leadership and 
volunteered their time to run sports activities, play music and supervise events on the day. The enthusiasm of our youth leaders was infectious and they acted as excellent positive role models for the children and parents living on the estate.
The event included:
- Outdoor BBQ
- Sports Activities
- Face Painting and Children’s Entertainment
- Music Showcased by Local Youth Volunteers
- Arts and Crafts and Community Mural
- Children’s Entertainer
This event aimed to actively promote a whole-family approach to using services in the community building. The fun day also provided an opportunity for local Family Support workers to build a rapport with local residents with the view to running a wellbeing programme in the community building in September.
