Nethercross Day Care Center – Dublin Mini Marathon 2014

Nethercross Day Care Centre is located at Tolka Valley and provides a lively social haven for people from the local community.

Three attendees and four family members along with three staff members from Nethercross Day Care Centre took part in this year’s women’s mini marathon in Dublin.  The three attendees aged between sixty nine and eighty three were pushed in wheelchairs by their sons.

Participants names:

Susan Nevin, Breda Higgins, Gwen Schaarschmidt, Breda Smith, Joe Smith, Annie Maguire and Peter Maguire, Breda and Paddy Scanlan, Gillian Hyland.

After the marathon was over everyone met in a restaurant and had dinner together and proudly showed off their medals to all.  Everyone had a great day and if there were aches and pains no one mentioned them.

The following Monday we took a celebratory photo of the group and thanked each participant for donating the money raised to Nethercross.  Next year we hope to have even more taking part in this great social event.
