Community Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration – Athy

A Community Celebration in took place in Ardrew Meadows Athy from 3pm to 5pm on 1^st December.

There was a Community ‘Decorate your Christmas Tree’ theme.  Where children from Ardrew were asked to decorate a plastic bottle (500ml) and turn it into a Christmas tree decoration.  The child or children were then asked to put their name and Christmas message into the bottle and bring it bring it to the Tree Lighting Ceremony where all the decorated bottles were placed on the festive tree. Lights went on at 4.45pm.

Santa arrived with presents for all the children. There was Christmas face painting, refreshment and a Christmas raffle for all the houses on the estate.
