Ardrew Meadows estate wins the top prize for best kept large estate in Athy for the second time.
The Plaque was presented In the Municipal District Offices on November 28th.The Chairperson of Athy Tidy Towns gave a glowing account of Ardrew estate. The landscaping, shrubbery and litter free categories earned us high marks. The residents ’gardens were highly commended. We are very proud of the win.
The Plaque was placed on the community building just before our Christmas event.
We linked this year with Kildare Leader Partnership a great day was enjoyed by all. We had a truly enjoyable event for the families for Christmas. A local piper led Santa through our estate. Children gathered and we were entertained with lovely Christmas Music. A very entertaining magician kept all very quiet and happy while face painting and visits to Santa for presents were arranged. Children were invited to decorate a plastic bottle and place it on the Christmas Tree. We surely have artists among us adults enjoyed refreshments and relaxed while children were very busy. Santa turned on the lights on our magnificent Christmas Tree that stands on the roof of our community building and is being admired by all.
