Ard an Ghleanna Octoberfest Celebrations 2015

Ard an Ghleanna Childcare invited all the parents and children of Pre-school and Peek a Boo to attend a fancy dress party to celebrate Octoberfest/ Halloween.

There was great excitement in the morning when all of the children came to pre-school in their fancy dress costumes. Later in the quiet room when the children saw the parents arriving for the party the atmosphere was electric.

The pre-school room was set up with various activities the main one being the pumpkin carving table. Each child and parent got to design and carve out their own pumpkin which they then brought home at the end of the day.

Other activities on offer were, incy wincey spider hats which we got to wear and incy wincey spider cake which we got to eat later during the party.

We were delighted with the attendance of the parents/ families who took the time to slow down and be present during an important milestone in their child’s life. This was our first celebration together this term.
